More About Foxtrot
Foxtrot House is a family vacation cottage with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms (1 ensuite), an open plan living area, a reading snug, an inglenook fireplace, and a log burner.
Access to an outdoor heated pool, sauna, and tennis courts is also available.
Our two smaller rooms- a bunk room and a single- have decor kids (and big kids!) are sure to love! Choose from sleeping in a ‘treehouse cabin’, or under the open sky in our room with sky fresco painted by a local artist
We offer our guests the use of our own holiday home, which we have furnished as a family home in modern country chic style. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
We have had a local interior designer help us to create two magical bedrooms for kids to enjoy.
Close the door and live every child’s fantasy of owning your own pad in the treetops in our ‘treehouse room’ - with windows looking out in a fairy glen from the bottom bunk, and on a secluded forest from the top bunk.
Our ‘nature of lower mill’ room has a stunning sky fresco adorning the 3 metre high ceiling, so you can lie in bed and envisage yourself at one with the nature of the surrounding lakes.
We believe in green living and the cottage generates more power than it consumes thanks to roof-sited solar panels. We use organic and fair trade products as far as possible, and as our guest, we are delighted to welcome you with a starter pack with some basics and some Eco-friendly cleaning products.
The scenic lakes are rich in nature and wildlife, with plenty of opportunity for boating and fishing, while cyclists and runners can take advantage of the fresh clean air away from busy traffic, thanks to a network of private footpaths. Bike, canoe, kayak, and paddleboard hire are available (subject to water temperature).
Indoors
Our four bedrooms are comprised of an ensuite (with electric power shower) King double, a queen double (with beautiful lake views), a single and a twin single bunk bed room (with extra trundle although that would make it super cozy indeed and we prefer to recommend only using it for an extra bed if needed but not as full-time bed during a stay)
Bedding is included, with each bed being made up with pillows and duvet, and a large number of extra blankets available in the linen cupboard in case you want to be extra snuggly!
There is a family bathroom upstairs (bath and handheld shower) and a WC downstairs, added to the ensuite making 2.5 bathrooms. A toilet roll is provided in each bathroom, and a hand towel and hand soap are left in each bathroom. A larger towel will also be provided for each booked guest.
Downstairs we have an open plan living room and dining room plus a kitchen with separate doors (useful to keep the cooking scents in if you want to!). The dining table has seating for up to 8 adults (and possibly a couple of extra little folks!).
The kitchen is stocked with a fan oven, electric hob, coffee maker, coffee press, fridge, freezer, microwave, and more than enough crockery and cutlery for 8 adults and 2 additional children. Basic cooking supplies like mixing bowls, roasting trays, pots, pans, and a hand blender are all included, as are store cupboard basics like salt, pepper, tea, coffee, and some common dried herbs and spices
Outside we have a cute and well-maintained decking area where you can sit in a hanging chair, breakfast at an outdoor table, or even lie and relax on one of our two rattan sun loungers.
Feel free to enjoy a bbq (bbq provided, charcoal available in onsite store or local shops), dining right beside the infant Thames which babbles along the side of the house.
You have Sky TV, wifi and of course a dishwasher and washing machine. Every rental includes a convenience pack with 7 dishwasher tablets and washing machine powder, as well as a bottle of washing-up liquid.
As a few extra touches, we have a small selection of books available for big folks, plus a few toys (inc 3 kids bikes and two scooters), books, and DVDs for little folks. This includes a kids TV/DVD player in the bunk room (great for kid chill-out time after a busy day!)
Well-house-trained dogs welcome for a fee of £40 per booking to cover additional cleaning to keep the house suitable for guests who may be allergy sufferers. Any soiling of carpets or chew damage to house contents will be subject to a minimum fee of £100 to cover cleaning and/or replacement.
Outside
Sportfishing is free on-site, subject to lake rules, and guests are advised to ensure they have the appropriate anglers license to avail of this facility should they wish to do so. We have our own access to the Carp lake so you can fish undisturbed to your heart's content!
We also provide the use of one adult's bike free of charge. Additional adult and kids bikes can be hired on site.

There is a village pub about 10 mins walk away. Cirencester with its wide range of shops, restaurants, and places of interest is about 10 mins drive away.
Children are very welcome!
Heating & Electricity included, as is a hairdryer and hair straighteners. Travel Cot, toddler bed guard, baby bouncer and/or High Chair can be supplied.
